Fishing derby this Saturday



The annual Kids Fishing Derby, sponsored by the Jamestown Striper Club, will take place this Saturday, July 28, from 8 to 11 a.m. at the North Pond Reservoir. Bait will be provided and lunch will be offered to contest entrants. Kids should bring their own rods and reels.

Wyman receives diploma in UK



Carolyn J. Wyman, of Jamestown, received a post-graduate diploma in the conservation of fine metals from West Dean College in West Sussex, England at their July 14 Awards Day ceremonies. Wyman was also her department’s recipient of the British Antique Dealer’s Association award for her contribution to the field of restoring fine metals.
